Meet the Cerritos Team Behind DryMark Restoration Cerritos

We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or smoke’s settled in your attic. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and verified before they ever pulled into a Cerritos driveway. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that we all work under The Haven Standard, and we all know the documentation we produce in your home is what gets your claim paid.

Our People

Alicia Brennan, Owner

I started DryMark Restoration Cerritos in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster. I kept seeing the same thing: homeowners with legitimate damage getting denied because the restoration company didn’t document moisture readings, didn’t produce drying logs, didn’t photograph the progression. The Haven Standard was built to close that gap. I still review every written scope before it goes out, and I answer the phone myself when the night dispatcher patches through a complex claim. Outside of work, I restore vintage motorcycles, which has taught me that the torque spec you didn’t write down always comes back to find you.

Marcus T., Lead Water Technician

Marcus has been running water damage crews in Los Angeles and Orange Counties for fourteen years. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), and he’s the person we send when a job requires tertiary drying, the final phase where we drop vapor pressure differentials low enough to pull bound moisture out of dense materials like oak framing or plaster lath. Marcus carries a field notebook where he hand-logs psychrometric data, relative humidity, and temperature at every adjustment, even though our Dri-Eaz and Phoenix equipment auto-logs too. He doesn’t trust anything he can’t verify himself. On weekends, he coaches youth basketball in Norwalk and has a reputation for running drills that are slightly too organized for ten-year-olds.

Elena V., Senior Mold Remediation Installer

Elena joined us in 2019 after eight years in hazardous materials abatement, including asbestos and lead-safe work. Her RIA certification in microbial remediation means she can read a lab report and build a containment strategy that matches the contamination class, not just tape up plastic and hope. Elena is the technician who notices when a competitor’s containment has negative pressure failure, the kind of detail that determines whether spores migrate to unaffected rooms. She grew up in Artesia, still lives there, and knows the older slab foundations in Cerritos neighborhoods like Park East and Los Cerritos that tend to wick groundwater through expansion joints. She bakes sourdough with enough precision that her hydration percentages have become a running joke on job sites.

David R., Service Coordinator

David is the voice most Cerritos customers hear first, and he’s the reason we can say a live person answers every call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Before joining us in 2017, he worked in emergency dispatch for a regional fire authority, so he actually knows what “water hitting the breaker panel” sounds like in a caller’s voice and can triage accordingly. David schedules crews, tracks equipment deployment from our B-Air and Injectidry inventory, and produces the photo-documented assessment packets that adjusters receive within four hours of our arrival. He keeps a whiteboard behind his desk with every active job’s moisture target and current reading, updated twice daily. He also plays in a bluegrass band that practices in a garage in Lakewood, which he insists is relevant because garage humidity control is genuinely tricky.

Javier M., Restoration Apprentice

Javier started with us in 2023 after completing a construction technology program at Cerritos College. He’s working toward his IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification and currently shadows Marcus on water losses while handling demo, content manipulation, and initial moisture mapping with our thermal imaging cameras. Javier is the person who asks why we’re setting a dehumidifier at 55 grains per pound instead of 60, which is exactly the question we want from someone who’ll be running jobs in two years. He was born in Cerritos, still lives with his parents near the Towne Center, and has an uncanny memory for which apartment complexes in the city had the polybutylene pipe replacements in the 1990s.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with us, not the other way around. Whether we’re extracting sewage from a ground-floor unit near the Cerritos Auto Square or rebuilding a kitchen after a grease fire off South Street, the same clauses apply. Haven Standard, Clause 1: a written price before any work starts, with no exceptions. Every visit produces a documented photo record, included as standard, never sold as an upgrade. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise is a signed guarantee, not a verbal assurance, and it follows the work, not the technician who performed it.

Our equipment roster, Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry systems, is consistent across every independently owned and operated location in our network. So is the documentation format that produces daily moisture logs, psychrometric summaries, and photo timelines calibrated to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. The adjuster in Cerritos sees the same packet structure as the adjuster in any other market, which matters when your claim is being reviewed by someone who has never set foot in your neighborhood.

We don’t do urgency theatre. We don’t do scope creep. We don’t ask you to call for a quote, because Haven Standard, Clause 1 exists precisely to end that habit. If you bring us a competitor’s written estimate, we’ll review it at no charge and tell you exactly what’s included, what’s missing, and what the documentation gaps might cost you at claim time.
